🛡️ GameShield Setup Guide
GameShield is a modern and futuristic DDoS-protection service for your project. It helps countless individuals and projects completely eliminate any malicious traffic targeting their servers.
Let’s set it up together — it’s easy! 🚀
🔐 Step 1: Register an Account
Go to https://gameshield.io and register an account.
Registration is straightforward and quick. If you face any issues, feel free to contact our support team.
🌐 Step 2: Create a Project
- After logging in, navigate to the dashboard.
- Click the "Add Network" button to create a new project.
📛 Step 3: Connect a Domain
Each project must have at least one domain connected to the GameShield infrastructure.
- Go to the "Domains" tab in your project.
- Click "Create a domain".
- Enter your domain name.
- Go to your domain provider and add a CNAME record using the values shown in the "Domains" tab.
🔧 Step 4: Add a Backend
Each project must have at least one backend server.
- Go to the "Backends" tab.
- Click "Create a new backend".
- Enter your backend server's address and port.
⚙️ Step 5 (Optional but Recommended): Enable HAProxy Protocol
Enabling HAProxy protocol support helps your server to:
- Detect real IP addresses of players (instead of proxy IP)
- Provide better logging and analytics
- Improve protection accuracy, especially if your proxy has an anti-bot solution installed.
This step is optional, but highly recommended for full functionality.
Supported by default:
- ✅ Velocity
- ✅ BungeeCord
For Spigot, Paper, Folia, etc.:
- Download and install our plugin: Download Plugin
If you're not sure, you can skip this step — your server will still be protected, just with fewer advanced features.
🔗 Step 6: Link Domain to Backend
- Return to the "Domains" tab.
- Click on the "Edit backends" button.
- Select the backend you just added and assign it to your domain.
✅ Done!
You can now connect to your server using the domain you set up — fully protected by GameShield.
