πŸ›‘οΈ GameShield Setup Guide

GameShield is a modern and futuristic DDoS-protection service for your project. It helps countless individuals and projects completely eliminate any malicious traffic targeting their servers.

Let’s set it up together β€” it’s easy! πŸš€

πŸ” Step 1: Register an Account

Go to https://gameshield.io and register an account.

Registration is straightforward and quick. If you face any issues, feel free to contact our support team.

🌐 Step 2: Create a Project

  1. After logging in, navigate to the dashboard.
  2. Click the "Add Network" button to create a new project.

πŸ“› Step 3: Connect a Domain

Each project must have at least one domain connected to the GameShield infrastructure.

  1. Go to the "Domains" tab in your project.
  2. Click "Create a domain".
  3. Enter your domain name.
  4. Go to your domain provider and add a CNAME record using the values shown in the "Domains" tab.

πŸ”§ Step 4: Add a Backend

Each project must have at least one backend server.

  1. Go to the "Backends" tab.
  2. Click "Create a new backend".
  3. Enter your backend server's address and port.

Enabling HAProxy protocol support helps your server to:

  • Detect real IP addresses of players (instead of proxy IP)
  • Provide better logging and analytics
  • Improve protection accuracy, especially if your proxy has an anti-bot solution installed.

This step is optional, but highly recommended for full functionality.

Supported by default:

  • βœ… Velocity
  • βœ… BungeeCord

For Spigot, Paper, Folia, etc.:

If you're not sure, you can skip this step β€” your server will still be protected, just with fewer advanced features.

  1. Return to the "Domains" tab.
  2. Click on the "Edit backends" button.
  3. Select the backend you just added and assign it to your domain.

βœ… Done!

You can now connect to your server using the domain you set up β€” fully protected by GameShield.

GameShield is always evolving. Stay updated, and let us handle your protection, so you can focus on your project.
